SUMMARY:Santa Barbara Vino Train
DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to take a step back in time when service meant people smiled and were happy to be of assistance.  Enjoy a scenic train ride to Santa Barbara in a lovingly restored\, 1950’s Art Deco vintage Pullman rail car.  Enjoy a Champagne Brunch on the way to Santa Barbara. \n       \nOnce in Santa Barbara\, there are no less than 18 wineries within walking distance of the station and enough restaurants to meet every taste and budget. \nWe will depart Union Station in Los Angeles at 9:11 am and arrive in Santa Barbara about 11:41 (pulled by Amtrak train #768).  We will return to Los Angeles departing at 7:20 arriving at approximately 9:45 (pulled by Amtrak train #796).  On the return trip\, enjoy an included dinner and beverages of your choice. \nCost is $180.00 per person round trip.  We are limited to 34 seats so it’s first come – first served.  OCWS has done this trip twice before and it’s been a sellout both times so don’t wait.  Reserve your place now. \nWe need to confirm seats so our cutoff date is March 1. \nEmail KevinDonnelly@ocws.org or brian@ocws.org for more information. \nKevin Donnelly and Brian McDonald\nTransportation options to/from Union Station.   \nOrange County members can board Amtrak at either Irvine or Anaheim (for an additional fee) and arrive at Union Station\, and then transfer to the Vino Train touring car.  You will have to buy a round trip ticket from Amtrak. These trains are the same trains that couples to our railcar. \nIn the morning\, \nAmtrak 763 Pacific Surfliner \nLeaves Irvine at 7:48am for $16.20 or Anaheim at 8:08am for $13.50 arriving at Union Station 8:51 am. \nYou will get off of Amtrak’s cars and turn to your left and walk down to the Vino Train car. \nIn the evening\, you will get off of our Vino Train car and turn to your right and get on to Amtrak cars.  Amtrak 796 Pacific Surfliner Leaves Union Station at 10:13 pm arriving at Anaheim at 10:51pm for $13.50 or Irvine at 11:11 pm for $16.20. \nVino Train Boarding Instructions \nSanta Barbara Map \nUpper State Street Map \nTasting and Dining Map
