SUMMARY:Follow the Call of the Disco Ball
DESCRIPTION:  \nOn October 10th\, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM\, the Orange County Wine Society will celebrate a remarkable milestone — 50 years of service\, community\, and wine education — with a dazzling Disco Party in our Wine Courtyard. Inspired by the organization’s founding year\, 1976\, the event embraces a vibrant retro theme complete with shimmering décor\, lively music\, and the joyful spirit that has defined OCWS for half a century. \nWith the help of our DJ\, Henry Martinez\, our courtyard will be transformed into our own high energy Studio 54\, featuring sparkling accents and festive props along with a mix of classic disco hits and modern favorites. \nTo mark the anniversary\, the event will include some fun games and contests\, including the crowning of Dancing King & Dancing Queen (the attendees with the best moves); and Disco King & Disco Queen (those whose attire fully embrace the theme!). Members can look forward to a variety of elevated food offerings from the Cooks Caucus\, selected to complement the evening’s festive mood. \nAttendees will have several fundraising opportunities\, from which all proceeds will go to our Scholarship fund. We will be featuring our Wine Wall where you can pick a mystery bottle for just $20! Remember to break open your piggybank beforehand as our Wine Wall is cash only! We are also encouraging members to donate a bottle valued at a minimum of  $20. OCWS “swag” including 50th Anniversary themed merchandise\, will be on hand for purchase. \nThe committee has also curated a collection of themed Gift Baskets for our Silent Auction\, with something to tempt every bidder — from wine and epicurean delights to décor and unique experiences. Be ready to bid on your favorites\, and if you win\, payment may be made by cash\, check\, or credit card. \nOnline registration is underway\, so visit our website for details\, including pricing and volunteer positions. \nThis celebration is more than a party — it’s a tribute to the volunteers\, members\, and supporters who have shaped OCWS over the past 50 years. The countdown to disco is officially on\, and the Wine Courtyard is ready to shine! \nCo-Chairs – JoBeth Skaggs and Tricia Shelton

DESCRIPTION:Spring is just around the corner and so is our Spring Social when we’ll be throwing a tropical\, Tiki-themed luau! \nJoin us for an adventurous afternoon and evening where the rhythm of the tropics meets the sophistication of wine. Enjoy games\, prizes\, music and dancing with fellow members and friends\, new and old. Sip our curated wines — there will be a little ‘aloha’ in every glass. The Cook’s Caucus will be preparing a delectable island-inspired menu for us all to savor. \nSway\, hula\, or limbo (if you dare!) to the beats of our favorite DJ\, Henry Martinez. Remember to arrive in your finest tiki attire as there will be a costume contest\, the “Wahine” (Gal) and “Kane” (Guy) who best exemplify the aloha spirit will receive a prize. \nAs always\, we will be featuring the Wine Wall with proceeds going to our Scholarship Fund.
