SUMMARY:Winemakers Quarterly Meeting and Potluck
DESCRIPTION:The next Winemakers Group quarterly meeting and potluck will be held on Saturday\, October 19\, from 1pm to 4pm.  The Yorba Linda meeting location will be announced approximately one week prior to the event.  Cost to attend is $5 per person to cover supplies.  An OCWS member may purchase one $10 ticket for a non-member.  You don’t have to be a winemaker to attend.  All OCWS members are welcome. \nEach attendee\, or couple\, is asked to bring a potluck dish (appetizer\, salad\, side dish\, or dessert) ready to serve a small portion to 8 people.  Please bring any serving utensils necessary for your dish and a bottle of wine per person (homemade or commercial) to share.  Plates\, napkins and tableware will be furnished. \nNew winemakers\, this is an excellent opportunity to see what our group is about.  The grape harvest will be in full swing and I’m sure we’ll be sharing our winemaking experiences along with our wines. \nWinemakers\, our SO2 testing team led by Mike Paz and Ed Petros will be conducting tests for your wines from 10:00am to noon at the potluck location prior to the meeting.  Please email Mike by October 10 at: Michael.winemaker@icloud.com with the number of tests you will need.  Testing will take place only if we get your RSVP’s prior to deadline. \nIt is important we know ahead of time how many tests will be done so we can purchase supplies prior and have them on hand.  Testing fee is $5.00 per sample.  Bring a 100ml sample of each wine\, enough to test twice in case the test needs to be repeated. \nAttendance at this event is limited so sign up now!  If the event fills up\, please call the OCWS office at 714-708-1636 to be put on the waiting list.  Volunteers are needed to help set up prior and help clean up after the event.  You can sign up to help when you purchase your tickets on the OCWS website. \nThis event is scheduled during the harvest season and will take place even whether or not there is a grape pickup that day.  In the event you sign up and cannot attend\, a refund will only be issued if we can fill your spot with someone from the waiting list. \nI hope to see you all there!  Contact Ed Reyes\, ed@ocws.org if you have any questions about the event.
