SUMMARY:Pre-Crush Winemaking Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Winemakers\, are you making wine this year? Is this your first time making wine from fresh grapes? Not sure if you’re ready for the upcoming harvest? Do you need a refresher course before getting grapes? \nIf you answered yes to any of these questions then you need to join us at our pre-crush winemaking seminar. The class will be helpful to new and experienced winemakers alike. It will be held on Saturday morning\, September 6\, from 10:00 am – noon at the Silverado Canyon home of one of our winemakers. There will also be some experienced winemakers on hand to answer questions. \nThis class will: \n\nGuide you through the basic procedure for making wine from fresh grapes\nDescribe the equipment and supplies needed\nPrepare you for what to expect at various points in the winemaking process\nWalk you the OCWS grape purchase program and how it works\n\n  \nReserve your spot in the class by contacting Ed Reyes at: ed@ocws.org \nSO2 testing will also be held at the same location that day. Our SO2 testing team led by Mike Paz will be conducting tests for your wines from 10:00 am to noon. \nReserve your SO2 tests by contacting Mike Paz at: Michael.winemaker@icloud.com with the number of tests you will need. It is important we know ahead of time how many tests will be done so we can purchase supplies prior and have them on hand. Testing fee is $5.00 per sample.
