SUMMARY:Winemakers Quarterly Meeting and Potluck
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate this year’s harvest at the upcoming Winemakers Group quarterly meeting and potluck to be held on Saturday\, November 4\, from 1pm to 4pm.  The Laguna Hills meeting location will be announced approximately one week prior to the event.  Cost to attend is $5 per person to cover supplies.  All OCWS members are welcome.  You don’t have to be a winemaker to attend. \nEach attendee\, or couple\, is asked to bring a potluck dish (appetizer\, salad\, side dish\, or dessert) ready to serve a small portion to 8 people.  Please bring any serving utensils necessary for your dish and a bottle of wine per person (homemade or commercial) to share.  Plates\, napkins and tableware will be furnished. \nNew winemakers\, this is an excellent opportunity to see what our group is about.  Depending on when grapes arrive you may also have the opportunity to see (and smell) a new vintage of wines undergoing fermentation and the initial stages of processing.  You’ll also get to sample earlier vintages of the great wines we produce. \nWinemakers\, our SO2 testing team led by Mike Paz and Ed Petros will be conducting tests for your wines from 10:00am to noon at the potluck location prior to the meeting.  Please email Mike by October 27 at: Michael.winemaker@icloud.com with the number of tests you will need. \nIt is important we know ahead of time how many tests will be done so we can purchase supplies prior and have them on hand.  Testing fee is $5.00 per sample.  Bring a 100ml sample of each wine\, enough to test twice in case the test needs to be repeated. \nAttendance at this event is limited so sign up now!  Volunteers are needed to help set up prior and help clean up after the event.  Contact Ed Reyes\, ed@ocws.org\, if you have any questions. \nEd Reyes\, Chair Winemakers Group  \n
