OCWS Bylaws
Each year, the OCWS
Board of Directors undertakes a review of our By-laws. One part of this review
includes asking members their thoughts on changes and updates that may be
needed.
OCWS By-laws govern operation of the
organization and cover:
1. Objective
and purpose of the organization
2. Membership
3. Officers
and responsibilities
4. Board
of Director tenure, election, and meetings
5. Use
of Committees
6. Annual
Business Meeting
If any OCWS member has a suggestion or would
like to recommend a change, please submit them to me by June 20. Any OCWS member
can review the current By-laws on the OCWS website at www.ocws.org.
If a member should decide to submit a
recommendation, please indicate:
1. The
affected article and section number
2. The
suggested change
3. Your
justification and rationale for the change
All requests for By-law changes, amendments,
or additions will be presented to the Board of Directors. If the recommendation
is approved by the Board of Directors it will then be placed on open ballot to
be voted upon by the OCWS members. A simple majority of the returned votes will
decide the outcome.
